Honeysuckle Creek Picnic 2024

The Honeysuckle Creek Tracking Station Picnic Run offered a blend of history, nature, and camaraderie. Participants were encouraged to enjoy the drive, take in the breathtaking views, and make the most of the picturesque picnic destination enjoying the epicurean delights of their own curated picnic lunches.

The Sydney convoy headed south along the Old Princes Highway, while Canberra made the long trek along a boring highway and Illawarra climbed over the mountain and along Appin Road, all headed to Cataract Dam to celebrate mates and Australia Day.

Cherry Pie and a Picnic

Eager to dive into the cherry-picking experience, we grabbed baskets and scattered among the rows of cherry trees. It took less than 30 minutes to fill our baskets – five kilos to the top, and we needed to pick from only a couple of trees each.
