Renowned Canberra-based artist, Kerry Shepherdson, has specially painted and generously donated an MX-5 themed painting for auction at Sunday, 23 July, Canberra Chapter Charity Lunch - why not make a bid on the painting pre-auction?
In the spirit of providing fair and even competition, the class structure for the 2017/2018 competition year has been revised and a new class introduced - Super Clubman.
Twenty seven participants and sixteen cars including a Porsche and VW GTI had an early morning met at Cessnock Tourist Centre for our 450km inland run through historic towns and villages.
A day of wet weather didn't stop our intrepid Mid North Coast Chapter members from enjoying a great drive to Barnett's Bakery at Crescent Head and then to South West Rocks for lunch.

For many people, Sunday is a day of quiet contemplation - particularly Sunday morning. A time of gently rebuilding the intensity of energy that will be called for in the coming week. Not so for club members on this very social weekend in the Hunter region by the Illawarra Chapter.
The TB Cup (Tiger Beetle Cup) is a Knockout Sprint Event being held in NSW that involves production sports coupes and roadsters whose engine sizes are 2.0 litres and below driven by amateur drivers only. MX-5 Club members have been invited to enter.

It was a very sad day for our club this week when long-time member and friend Mike Walkden-Brown died peacefully at his home Wednesday evening. It was agreed by all, that Mike would want us to proceed with our Sunday run to Harrington regardless of his absence, which we dedicated in his honour.

The air was fresh for the 7:00am meet at Cessnock McDonalds, but to our surprise not fresh enough to keep 22 cars and 37 attendees away from an early morning blast to breakfast down the Putty Road.
