MX-5 Club hosts a CSCA Supersprint

We hosted Round 5 of the CSCA Supersprint Series on Sunday 21 September 2025 at the Amaroo Circuit of Sydney Motorsport Park. The event also counted as Round 4 of the MX-5 Club Sprint Championship and the annual NSW/VIC Interstate Challenge with 15 visiting Victorian MX-5ers. Three events in one!

The 35th Anniversary of the MX-5 Club of NSW was celebrated in grand style with the biggest event we've ever held, on Saturday 21 June 2025 at Gledswood Homestead & Winery. The event was heavily subsidised for members, with 260 members and 7 guests joining us for a huge Show & Shine and three-course lunch with a special guest speaker - Bob Hall!

My first trip to Wee Jasper took nearly three hours over a rough and dusty dirt track, but that was almost 50 years ago. Today, the 70 km trip to the Wee Jasper Distillery took an hour, and the roads are a delight in an MX-5 (mostly).

Motor Life Museum

You've probably been waiting... for ages... to hear about the 'all boys' Australian Motor Life Museum run. Despite stormy weather, it was a good drive over Saddleback Mtn to Dapto, the museum provided an impressive collection of unique vehicles and memorabilia and the boys are keen to return.

Mudgee has been a popular destination for our Chapter. My records show a Ken Keeling expedition in 2014 to experience the Food & Wine Festival (although Ken probably led a few before that) and half a dozen since then, not counting visits to Mudgee on other runs. My planning blunder (the breweries were closed!) didn’t blunt the fun.
