RPM Mayfield Gardens Run

As our two groups unite at Hartley Historic Village we are greeted with perfect weather for a drive out to Mayfield Gardens.

Unfortunately we were also greeted with holiday traffic which made our progress leisurely and smooth. Not the way we like to drive the twists and turns along Jenolan Caves Road.

On arrival in Oberon we had a coffee and cake break that included some delicious scones. (Only for those who ordered quickly!)

The next stage was a short but interesting drive out to Mayfield Gardens where we strolled through an array of spring blossoms, maple trees of various colours and also impressive water features. The manicured lawns were another highlight. What a beautiful garden!

After a delicious, but tardy lunch, we left Mayfield Gardens to explore more of this lovely area and ventured through Tarana, another favourite MX5 drive, and onto Lithgow for another coffee and toilet break. Here we bid members farewell as some went home via Bells Line whilst others used the GWH.

A great day was had by all!
