Meander to Mogo

In the face of an unfavourable weather forecast we set off for the meeting place at Milton Heritage Bakery. Time for coffee and a bun. At the appointed hour four members set out for the drive to Mogo and, despite a brief light shower south of Ulladulla, we had a lovely early morning drive through the forests to Mogo, top down all the way.
Arriving at Mogo Zoo we were almost immediately joined by the Illawarra group who had started Mark’s meander the day before, and were exploring the zoo after an overnight stay in Batemans Bay.
There was time to catch up with old friends and shortly, the zoo guide was there to meet us for our tour of the zoo. What a magic place Mogo Zoo is and, while only small, has plenty of interesting animals to keep young and old interested and amused.
Thanks Mark and Hella for planning the day.
The South Coast party departed for lunch at Grumpy and Sweethearts in Mogo and, as usual, simple and delicious. Lovely fresh salads with scrumptious tarts and frittatas.
After lunch we headed home and rain in Batemans Bay suggested it was time for top up, very shortly proving to be a wise decision. The promised rain arrived during the trip home but late enough not to spoil another great MX5 day.
