KK Outback Circuit Run

Another Kaos 300 midweek run, done and dusted, and as usual it was a great fun day.
The weather was a bit overcast, perfect really, to enjoy an MX5.
We met at the usual place, Beresfield BP at 9.00 for a 9.30 start. We had 5 cars and 7 people, Max was riding shotgun for Karl, and John Purcell had his mate Ross riding with him, that left David, Malcolm and John driving solo.
We headed off up the Pacific Hwy through Raymond Terrace and then left onto The Bucketts way to Gloucester. Considering it was a Thursday there was a substantial amount of traffic, including trucks, but fortunately, they all turned off soon after we caught them, that only left a couple of SUV's for a bit of sport!
We arrived in Gloucester and stopped at Roadies cafe, for coffee and a chat.
Next we headed off to Nabiac through Krambach, potentially a great road but littered with a patchwork of pothole repairs, still good fun, and plenty to see, Kramback is a nice little place, and worth a stop at another time, we continued along Avalon Rd to Nabiac.
We arrived at Nabiac pub for lunch and a drink, the conversation continued, lots of topics covered, including the usual stuff, how much better than work is this, etc.
Next up the highlight of the day, the old Bulahdelah Range, we drove it in both directions, how good can it get, no traffic in sight, and the surface was perfect, we could easily have done it over and over, but we had places to go.
We travelled down to Bulahdelah then turned off to the left, to Booral, another great road, lots of tight corners, some sign posted at 35km, you know what that means, perfect for MX5s, definitely worth doing again and again!
The Booral road joins back onto the The Bucketts Way so we turned left and headed for home.
Another great MX5 club day, they always leave you wanting more!
Thanks to all the guys for your company.
And thanks to Karl for organising another great day.
