Our event today, organised by Phil Belcher and his side kick Jennifer, commenced with coffee at our usual starting point, Hungry Jacks, Haywards Bay. Because of inclement weather and to protect their precious MX5’s, four cars joined incognito. However, there were six enthusiastic owners prepared to brave the elements, making up a great team effort of twenty two members in all. We set off for one of our favourite lunchtime destinations, the famous Fisherman’s Club in Gerroa. On the way we stopped for morning coffee at Kiama Blowhole and we were not disappointed as the blustering winds provided excellent conditions for seeing the blowhole at maximum performance. Not what you would really expect this time of the year. After a nice cup of coffee and a catch-up we set off for the lovely drive to Gerroa. Hugging the glorious coast road and enjoying all the bends and keeping our revs in check, we made our way to the Fisherman’s Club. Once again we had a fabulous lunch, great food with great company.
