Canberra Chapter Pizza Evening

Summer nights are special in Canberra. After the heat of the day, the cool of the evening is a special time for enjoying good food and a glass or two of good wine with good friends in a beautiful garden setting. And so it was this weekday evening when 34 Canberra Chapter members enjoyed the sunset in the grounds of the Heritage listed Strathnairn Homestead.
We enjoyed cheese platters, mezze plates and fresh pizzas, all cooked in an outdoor wood fired pizza oven, whilst we watched the sun set over the Brindabellas and caught up with everyone’s Christmas stories and tall tales of Covid avoidance.
It is always lovely to support a local business, but it feels even better when the business is a social enterprise helping migrants and refugees from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds gain useful practical training.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience and went home well watered and fed.
