Sydney Day Run to 20th Anniversary of Motorsport
Xmas is but a month away but the BreakFast Club is in the mood for celebrating. Join us at Heathcote for a cross country run to Wakefield Park to celebrate 20 years of track days by the MX-5 Club of NSW.
In honour of our Motorsport Chapter, the BreakFast Club joins with other chapters in making the pilgrimage to Wakefield Park for a day of celebrations and fond recollections.
From Heathcote, we will motor down the highway to our breakfast venue of McDonalds at South Nowra. From here, we head slightly south before traversing cross country to take in the Braidwood and Nerriga Roads - a true roadster delight! Since being resurfaced between Nerriga and Goulburn, this stretch provides many sweeping bends and straightaways all encapsulated in a quaint rural setting. With some luck, we may catch up with the Illawarra Chapter towards the end of the journey allowing us to enter Wakefield Park en masse!
This is a waypoint run where participants are urged to travel at a pace which they find comfortable. There will be a number of rally points on the route where participants will form up as a group before moving to the next waypoint. Whilst we look forward to witnessing great feats of speed at Wakefield Park, members are reminded that the journey to the track is not a race and road rules will be observed at all times. In addition to the attached route map, the following waypoints will be utilised during this run:
· Beside Princes Highway on the northern outskirts of Albion Park Rail
· At McDonalds on the Prices Highway in South Nowra.
· Beside BTU Road just past its intersection with Princes H/w in South Nowra at right turn to Albatross Naval Base.
· Nerriga Hotel Nerriga
· At the intersection of Windellama Road and Brisbane Grove Road, Brisbane Grove being the turn left to go to Braidwood Road.
· Wakefield Park Raceway, 4770 Braidwood Road, Tirranniville
