AN ANTARCTIC ADVENTURE
Join us on a local run to Huskisson’s Jervis Bay Maritime Museum for an Antarctic adventure!
In April the museum invites you to step into the frozen frontier and discover the extraordinary stories of the heroic age of Antarctic exploration in the early 1900’s. The exhibition highlights the journey of Mawson, and tells the stories of Scott and Shackleton: THE ANTARCTIC | asen.au
We’ll then be able to participate in the VR experience “Thin Ice” and follow the footsteps of Shackleton and, as part of his crew, relive his treacherous expedition, where the Endurance slipped below the ice: Virtual Reality | Thin Ice | jervisbaymaritimemuseum.asn.au Please note: This is not a mandatory activity. All viewers have the option to remove the headset at any time.
Important: Tickets for the VR experience need to be purchased online prior to our arrival. Adult $25; Concession $22.50. We plan to attend the 10:30am session. (If fully booked, the following 11:15am session is also doable) : https://events.humanitix.com/thin-ice-vr-experience/tickets Maximum participants per session will be capped at 10 persons, so please purchase your tickets ASAP.
