2014 NSW/Vic Interstate Challenge
The interstate challenge is on again, with the MX-5 Club of NSW defending the title from last year.
The event is being hosted by the MX-5 Club of Victoria and Tasmania at a meeting organised by AROCA, and will provide drivers with the opportunity to drive on both layouts of the Winton circuit. The morning session will be run on the WInton short circuit, before switching to the Winton long circuit for the afternoon session.
This event is included in the NSW track day championship, and may be a good opportunity to gain some extra points over your competitiors in that championship.
Entry places are limited, and the early bird entry price of $190 is only available until 9th March, so I strongly encourage you to send in your entry urgently.
Once entry numbers are known, we will also arrange some form of dinner and catch-up between the NSW & Vic club members for the Saturday night. I am sure the Vics will have plenty of suggestions for us which are just as useful as the "don't brake for turn 2" advice we gave them at the dinner before the Wakefield track day last November.
Links to the Entry Form and Supplementary Regulations are provided below.
Separately to the track day, AROCA is also running a training day at Winton on Saturday 22nd March, the day before the track day. This training day will allow drivers to practice and learn the Winton short circuit, and experienced track drivers will be available as instructors. The cost is $270. Links to the entry form and supplementary regulations are provided below.
Also on Saturday 22nd March, after the driving training day has concluded, the circuit will be available for open practise, from about 3:30pm for approximately 1 hour. Cost is expected to be between $50 and $100, depending on the length of the session. Cars will have to pass scrutineering before participating in this practice session.
