Wamberal Breakers Run

On a cool June day 20 cars and 33 members set out from Speers Point park on a twisty journey to Wamberal breakers club for lunch. It had rained for several days before and was forecast for a rain bomb the following week but we where lucky to pick a fine day in between the weather.
Avoiding the highways the best we could taking Rohnda road to Wakefield road and right turn to Freemans waterhole and thats where it all went pair shaped. Three cars decided the M1 freeway was the turn to make and found they where on their own. The group continued down Mandalong road to the rest stop at Wondilly Park at Jillaby and waited for the sub group to catch up. Rob Wilko recorded the path they took and it looked like a few figure 8's to get back on track and get to the rest stop.
"All ducks in a row" we continued on towards the central coast via Brush road, that was like a roller coaster, and Tumbi Umbi road to Wamberal Breakers.
A good lunch with good friends and a few new members Linda, Ford, Cherie and Linda W, learned how things can go astray easily, but we looked after the group and all had an enjoyable drive with some excitement in the day!
