Nora Head Lighthouse

After an early morning start under an overcast sky, eleven keen participants rolled into the Mt Colah meeting point in six cars. We were joined by a new member, Louis, along with John and Sue, who were attending their very first Chapter run. As we gathered, the sun made a valiant attempt to burn off the cloud and light fog.
We set off heading north through the winding bends of the Old Pacific Highway, then cruised via West Gosford before linking up with The Ridgeway. A few more twists and turns later, we were rewarded with the picturesque ocean and lake views of The Entrance and Tuggerah Lakes on our way to the majestic Norah Head Lighthouse.
The lighthouse staff treated us to VIP parking right on the grounds—perfect for some fantastic photo opportunities for the club magazine. There we met our volunteer tour guide, Keith, who turned out to be a wealth of knowledge with a great sense of humour to match.
By the end of the run and the tour, everyone was starting to feel a bit peckish, so we wandered down to the waterfront restaurant Beachies at Toukley for a well‑deserved and delicious lunch. A relaxed meal, good company, and a scenic backdrop made for the perfect finish to a great Sydney Chapter MX5 run. Zoom Zoom.
