Illawarra Christmas at The Sands

The MX-5 Club Illawarra Christmas Party at The Sands Shellharbour was a wonderful way to wrap up an incredible year for the chapter. With 56 members in attendance, the evening was filled with laughter, great company, and a strong sense of community.
Members enjoyed a delicious two-course buffet meal, providing the perfect opportunity to relax, mingle, and reflect on the many memorable runs, events, and friendships formed throughout the year.
A special highlight of the night was recognising the dedication of our volunteers, who were presented with thank-you gifts in appreciation of the time and effort they generously give to support the chapter by organising and leading runs and overnight stays. Their commitment plays a vital role in making our runs and activities such a success.
The evening also celebrated our members with the presentation of Member of the Year awards. Emilco and Beti Dimovski were proudly awarded both Illawarra New Member of the Year and Club New Member of the Year, acknowledging their enthusiasm and valuable contributions since joining. John and Chrissie Zaremba were honoured as Illawarra Members of the Year, a well-deserved recognition for their continued involvement and ongoing support of the chapter.
The night was a true celebration of the year that was, reflecting on shared achievements, friendships, and the passion that brings the Illawarra MX-5 community together.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Cam and his team for hosting such a fantastic evening and ensuring everything ran seamlessly.
It was a memorable night that perfectly captured the spirit of the MX-5 Club Illawarra Chapter and set a positive tone for the year ahead.
