2024 Brass (freeze your ass) Monkey Run 

A 4:00am start for us Shellharbour folk, nice quiet drive to Ampol Foodary M4 Eastern Creek. 

Lots of gorgeous MX-5’s rolled up, everyone donning their warmest attire, leaving at 6:00am under the stars cruise to a cool 3 degrees Bathurst. We were hosted with a lovely breakfast from the team at Bathurst RSL. 

After a warm breakfast, coffee and tea we left to conquer the Panorama Mountain. After a few fun hot laps, we left at 10:00am for the ‘long trip’ home.

We drove along some fantastic MX-5 roads to Rockley then across country through Mt David and Black Springs before a run down to Porters Retreat to enjoy the joy of driving Shooters Hill Road then up to Oberon.  From Oberon up to Lowes Mount Road to Tarana for the run along Sodwalls then Sandy Hollow Road over the dam wall at Lake Lyle and ended at the Shell Service Station at the intersection of Magpie Hollow Road and GWH at South Bowenfels, a total distance of 183km. 

The drive was a cross between rally car and formula one, some serious driving skills were required behind the wheel
