Way out West
Starting at Lithgow and then on to Millthorpe for a coffee and a short stroll around town, it is National Trust town with lots of cute shops, old buildings and splendid gardens.
Travelling onto Cowra via some scenic back roads with a visit to the Japanese Gardens, POW Cam, war cemetery and the rail museum if time permits.
Overnight in Cowra before heading off home we finish off our visit to Cowra, then a short drive to the "Balloon capital of Australia" Canowindra to stroll through the town, a genuine time warp of curiosity. Taking an historic walk down Gaskill Street visiting The Age of Fishes Musuem and Learning Centre.
Great coffee can be had at the Perennialle Plants Nursery in Gaskill Street.
