You’re Invited to Join the MX-5 Club Cruise to the Anchor Café, Spencer!
Dust off the driving shoes, drop the top, and get ready for amother scenic and enjoyable MX-5 Club runs! We’re excited to invite you on a stunning cruise that will take us across the Hawkesbury River, along some of New South Wales’ picturesque backroads, and all the way to the riverside charm of the Anchor Café in Spencer.
Our run begins with a colourful gathering of MX-5s lined up and gleaming in the morning light. Whether your roadster is classic NA or the latest ND, you’ll feel right at home among fellow enthusiasts who share a passion for spirited driving, good company, and exploring beautiful parts of our region. After a quick briefing, we’ll roll out as a group, settling into an easy cruise through sweeping bends and bushland scenery. The route is perfect for MX-5s—light, responsive, and built for these kinds of roads.
One of the highlights of the day will be our crossing of the Hawkesbury River aboard the ferry. As we line up for the crossing, the convoy of colourful roadsters always draws smiles from locals and plenty of photo opportunities. Once aboard, we’ll drift across the water, listening to the peaceful sounds of the morning. It’s a relaxed, memorable moment that adds something special to the drive.
On the far side of the river, the road begins to hug the landscape more closely, winding gently along the water’s edge. This section of the cruise is pure MX-5 bliss: smooth corners, beautiful views, and the rhythmic feel of a road that seems designed for top-down motoring. We’ll keep a comfortable pace, ensuring everyone enjoys the scenery while still tasting the lively handling our cars are known for.
As we approach Spencer, the village emerges quietly from the trees like a hidden gem. Our destination—the Anchor Café—sits right by the river and offers a warm welcome, great coffee, and delicious meals. It’s the perfect spot to relax after the drive, swap stories, admire each other’s cars, and enjoy the calm of the Hawkesbury.
Whether you’re new to the club, haven’t joined a run in a while, or you’re a regular looking forward to another great day out, we’d love to have you along. These cruises aren’t just about the road—they’re about the people, the shared moments, and the joy our little sports cars bring.
