MX5 NA Register Run to Austinmer
Welcome to another MX5 NA register run, this time, we are heading south to the Austinmer Hotel! What is a register run? It refers to a specific model within the MX 5 range, in this case the original NA model. So the only vehicles that can register to partake are NA MX5s! So if you are lucky enough to have an NA and would like to join other like minded MX5 members you are invited!
Get ready to drive the wonderful roads of the beautiful Royal National Park from Sutherland to Austinmer via Stanwell Park. Still considered to be some of the best DRIVING roads for the MX5, the route through the National Park is nothing short of spectacular and of course we will take in the Sea Cliff Bridge on our route to Austinmer. Roads are in very good shape and offers smooth and relatively wide lanes so you can safely enjoy some spirited driving. But not too spirited! The run is an easy drive taking approximately 1hr. It will allow plenty of time to take in some beautiful sights of the National Park and beaches while cruising with the tops down. When we arrive in Austinmer we will visit the Headland Hotel which provides ample choice ranging from a coffee for those going light or a full big breakfast. You will be close to a number of lovely towns with plenty of shopping to be had after breakfast. The drive home can be through the National Park from whence we came or you can turn left at Stanwell Tops to head back to the Freeway for a short run home.
