Lakes Entrance
Lakes Entrance is a coastal town in eastern Victoria, Australia. It's known for the Gippsland Lakes, a vast system of inland waterways. There is a pedestrian bridge to Ninety Mile Beach, which stretches along the town's Tasman Sea shoreline. Wildlife around the beach and lakes includes kangaroos, pelicans and dolphins. The Griffiths Sea Shell Museum has exhibits on marine life and coral reefs, plus an aquarium.
Lakes Entrance is renowned as a seafood capital due to the large number of fishing trawlers operating in the area. Catch your own fish or savour the catches from fresh seafood shops around town.
