Big Budderoo Loop
Illawarra MX-5 residents are blessed with many superb driving roads thanks to the escarpment to the west. For this run, we will meet at Bean Roasted Espresso Bar on the outskirts of Albion Park, offering excellent coffee and a variety of tasty pastries. Our route is shown in the attached map, and takes us from Albion Park to Kiama via Saddleback Mountain, then Berry, Kangaroo Valley, Robertson and back to Albion Park Hotel for lunch. In total, there is 129km of driving for a displacement of about 2km between start and finish points. The estimated driving time is 2hr 15min.
Update 29 July - Kangaroo Valley Road is currently closed due to due to roadworks to repair major damage from the severe weather event on 7 April. Unfortunately, Wattamolla Rd also suffered significant damage on the 7 June rain event. We will now detour south to Bomaderry then take Moss Vale Rd to Kangaroo Valley. Travel time should still be about the same. (more info)
