New rules for Concours d'Elegance

The rules for judging entrants in Concours d’Elegance have been changed for 2017 as a trial of the Open Concours Rules to allow those members with MX-5s that were previously judged down on originality able to compete on a more even playing field for Concours honours.

Well after a week of downpours which decided to continue into the weekend... so to set the scene we had a sand and water backdrop moving with the breeze and sound of water flowing down the driveway as well as a welcome gift for each attendee, a “lei” …. lol. A fantastic social night was, thanks Elaine & David Gazzard for hosting!

Approximately 15 cars and 25 members gathered at Thornton to catch the last of daylight savings with a twilight run to Port Stephens. All aboard, our run leaders for the evening Elaine and Lyn, decided to pull a late April Fool’s prank on us all by taking a wrong turn straight out of the carpark. A quick loop around the block had us back on the correct path soon enough!
